The Edmonton Small Press Association is a registered non-profit arts society with a socially-conscious mandate that is committed to fostering the awareness and development of independent small press ventures in Canada and beyond. The ESPA recognizes that the small press movement is a global phenomenon and we are proud to be a part of introducing small press initiatives to the masses.

Major events by the ESPA include the North of Nowhere Expo which features a variety of venues displaying art, political posters, independent film, and other media.
